Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area Presents:
  • Is the Entry Fee per person or per team?
    • The entry fee is per team, not per person. Only teams of 5 are allowed to participate. Entry fee is $200 per team of 5 participants.
  • What does the team entry fee support?
    • The Chattanooga Mud Run benefits the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area programs.
  • What is the total distance of the race?
    • The total distance is 5K (approximately 3 miles).
  • What are the obstacles?
    • Obstacles will be designed to fit the landscape of Greenway Farms. Obstacles will consist of dirt mounds, wall mounts, and mud pits.
  • How old do you have to be to participate?
    • The minimum age is 14 years old with at least 1 adult per team.
  • What skill level do you have to be at to compete?
    • The event is achievable for all competitive levels. A staggered team start time will be given to each team depending on your estimated finish time.
  • Do you and your partners have to trade off running?
    • No. All teams must complete the event simultaneously and finish the event together.
  • What is the difficulty of the terrain?
    • The terrain varies from paved, gravel, dirt and trail. There will be small hills, but no extreme hill climbs. The course will be moderately challenging, yet it will not require technical running experience.
  • What is the average finishing time?
    • Most teams will finish between 30 minutes and 90 minutes depending on skill level.
  • Where can I find a course map?
    • A course map will be posted the week of the event. Please note the maps will not be to scale.
  • What do I need to bring?
    • Running shoes, garbage bag, and gear to change after race.
  • Are there refunds?
    • Sorry, there will be no race refunds. The event will take place rain or shine.
  • How do I change a teammate if they can't make it?
  • When is Packet Pickup?
    • Packet Pick up will be available on the day before the race at Greenway Farms.
